Sometimes, remembering the name of that wine you tasted the other night is nearly impossible. My solution? The free Corkbin app for iPhone and Android! Just take a photo of the wine bottle label, add a few notes, then upload to your bin. My notes aren’t anything fancy, just reminders of whether or not I liked the wine. You can also add a red badge to recommend the wine.

The Corkbin interface is visually pleasing and photo-focused. Corkbin uses image recognition to automatically recognize the name of the wine you’re drinking once you take a photo. It really is so easy to use, and you can choose if you’d like to share what you’ve uncorked on your Facebook profile or to your Twitter stream. There’s even a Corkbin widget to add to your website.

On the personal side, you can use Corkbin to remember the wines you’ve tasted and fire it up at the wine store to pick up the right wines. You can also share what you’re drinking with others and follow your friends wine exploration.

On the professional side, if you have a wine-related business, you can use this app to build a social presence for your company with a targeted following. Food-related companies can also build a relevant presence, especially if your products pair nicely with wine.
