Cabernet Sauvignon & Aged Cheddar
This bold wine has met its match when paired with a big and bold cheese like aged cheddar. This aged cheese’s rich texture and earthy flavor brings out the dark, fruit flavors of a classic Cabernet Sauvignon.
Sauvignon Blanc & Chèvre
The vibrant and citrus flavors of Sauvignon Blanc go hand-in-hand with the tart flavors found in chèvre, or goat cheese. The acidity in this wine is great to balance the heaviness of the chèvre.
Pinot Noir & Gruyère
A medium firm cheese like Gruyère has the right amount of aroma and texture for this vibrant, acidic wine. Pinot Noir has bright cherry flavors which is a perfect pair for the nutty flavors of gruyere cheese. If you’re a fan of sweet and salty, this duo is for you.
Moscato & Triple-Cream Brie
This creamy, soft-textured cheese was made for sweet wines like Moscato. The white peach and honeysuckle flavors found in this wine and the thick creaminess of Brie cheese is simply heaven!
Pinot Grigio & Muenster
Because this semi-soft cheese has such a distinctive flavor, a light and dry wine like Pinot Grigio is the way to balance the flavor. The clean, crisp finish of the Pinot Grigio allows for a variety of cheese pairings, but muenster cheese is at the top of our list.
