International Women’s Day 2018

As a wine company and community founded by and for women, we are happy to recognize women around the world today for your passion, strength and contributions.

We are proud to say that we at the Wine Sisterhood support diversity and gender equality. We are freely encouraged to share our unique personal histories, backgrounds and talents in the vineyards, the cellars, around the meeting tables and in the boardroom. And we take that beyond our company walls:

We are long-time sponsors of Women of the Vine and Spirits, the global symposium devoted to supporting the careers of women in the wine business.

We fund an annual scholarship to the Executive MBA program in Wine Business at Sonoma State University, educating the female wine industry leaders of tomorrow.

We contribute to causes women care about, including the Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign to fight breast cancer and the Angels Share campaign to help families experiencing food insecurity in local communities and the Heart of The Vine campaign to help families recover from the devastating wine country wildfires of October 2017.

Our founder, Terry Wheatley, created the Wine Sisterhood and the wines you see us talking about here in this space. Our winemaker, Nancy Walker, is a world-renowned, award-winning winemaker. More than half of our leadership team is women—vice-presidents and above in marketing, finance, guest experiences and more. Women have a voice at this table.

We want to recognize all our wine sisters—and our wine misters—on this day and thank you for being part of our crazy, beautiful Wine Sisterhood quilt. The more our voices are heard, the stronger we become.
