Spring Picnic Essentials

Spring Picnic Essentials | Wine Sisterhood Blog

Spring fever has swooped in and the outdoors are calling. The warm weather has us scheming for ANY reason to get outside and enjoy some time with family and friends. It’s time for a picnic.

And guess what? Today, April 23rd, is National Picnic Day! So now you have NO excuse.

Perfect Picnic Checklist | Wine Sisterhood Blog

Follow these tips to packing the perfect picnic.

Stay local. Most of the time you don’t have to go very far to find a great spot to relax outside. Look around for a nice patch of green in your neighborhood park or even your very own backyard.

Venture out. Explore your city and state parks. Better yet, make a day-cation out of it!

Girl & Dragon Pinot Grigio - Wine Sisterhood Picnic Wines

Pack the wine. Remember to make sure it’s legal to drink wine in your picnic location. Right now our favorite picnic wines are: Middle Sister Sweet & Sassy Moscato, Middle Sister Goodie Two-Shoes Pinot Noir and Girl & Dragon Pinot Grigio. Take your pick!

Pack the food. When venturing outdoors to eat, we prefer hand-held meals like sandwiches and wraps. Make the food ahead of time – no assembly or utensils to worry about.

Wine Sisterhood GoVino Unbreakable Glasses

Bring unbreakable plates and cups. A no-brainer, we know. Our favorite go-to outdoor entertaining item: GoVinos. (Especially the Wine Sisterhood kind.)

Wine Sisterhood Oversized Towel

Remember something to sit on. Pack an old blanket or oversized beach towels with enough space for lounging comfortably and chatting away. We think these Wine Sisterhood beach towels would do the trick.

Leave technology behind. Or just zipped up and on silent mode in your bag. Use this time to connect, without any unnecessary beeping and buzzing to interrupt.

Now go, get outside and enjoy! Cheers Wine Sisters!

One of my favorite picnic tips is if the picnic destination is somewhat far, to freeze the juice and bottled waters. Not only will it still be cold when you arrive at the perfect picnic spot, but it can help keep the other cool foods cool.
