Sisterhood Adventures: Marin and Sonoma Cheese Trail

Wine Sisterhood Sonoma Cheese Trail Adventure

Napa and Sonoma are very well known for wine, but we also boast a fantastic array of dairy farmers and cheese makers. Some of our favorite cheeses come from right here in California. And you know how we love pairing our wine and cheese!

This Spring we took a tour through our own backyard to explore how local, artisan cheese makers are making their mark on this “cultured” world. Our first stop on our Marin and Sonoma County Cheese Trail Adventure was the Achadinha Cheese Company farm in Petaluma, CA, where we met up with Cheese Master and owner Donna Pacheco. Watch our tour below:

Our next stop was Ramini Mozzarella, where they’re making no ordinary American mozzarella. Owner Craig Ramini is only one of a few Americans making his mozzarella from the milk of water buffalo, the traditional Italian way. Learn how what started as a crazy idea turned into a flourishing success for this family. Watch the video below:

If you’re interested in going on your own Sonoma Cheese Trail adventure, we recommend you check out this list from Sonoma County Tourism. Cheers to cheese!
