Sisterhood Adventures: Sights and Delights in DC
This month we traveled to our country’s capital to participate in another fabulous Around the World in 80 Sips by Bottlenotes. We may have missed the cherry blossoms, but we were still able to take in many beautiful sights while on our trip and dined on some of the best dishes the city has to offer.
Here are six of our favorite experiences on our latest trip to DC!
1. Around the World in 80 Sips, Washington DC
We had a blast entertaining guests at Bottlenotes Around the World in 80 Sips DC at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. View all of our photos on Facebook and on Flickr.
Were you at the event and took a pictures in our photo booth? Find your pictures here.
We welcomed guests at “Club Wine Sisterhood” with boas, lots and lots of boas!
And poured Middle Sister, Purple Cowboy, Monogamy, PromisQous and Deep Purple wines.
2. Touring the National Mall
4. Dinner at Table
Take a tour of Table, a fabulous little restaurant voted Best New Restaurant by the Washington City Paper! We made this video with our new favorite app, Tastemade.
4. Indian Food for Lunch at Rasika
Looking for a light lunch of shared plates, we chose Rasika, in the Penn Quarter neighborhood of DC. Try the Raan-E-Rasika, pictured below, it was one of our favorites!
5. Asian-Inspired Brunch at Daikaya
You read right, Asian-inspired brunch. Daikaya has the most creative take on brunch we’ve ever experienced. Chicken and waffles with wasabi-infused butter, oh yes. Tip: Order the cucumber salad and hang onto the leftover dressing, you’ll want to put it on everything!
6. Late-Night Bites at The Red Hen
Consider The Red Hen when you’re in need of a late-night meal in the Bloomindale neighborhood. Their wine list is fabulous and so is the food! Our favorite dish of the night was the Baked Semolina Gnocchi with Wild Mushroom Ragu, Spring Onion & Hazelnut Pesto. It’s as yummy as it sounds!
Try something interesting on the wine list, like this Zélige-Caravent – Ellipse Syrah Blend we ordered. Delicious!
