National Pizza Month: Host a DIY Pizza Dinner Party

National Pizza Month: Host a DIY Pizza Dinner Party

Happy National Pizza Month!

You may wonder why we need to dedicate an entire month to pizza considering that about 94% of us dig into a slice at least once a month and we live in a country where there are an estimated 63,000 pizzerias. But we say “why not?” Right?!

The pizza pie is one of the most versatile dishes on the planet. The combinations of crusts, sauces, cheeses and toppings you can combine is virtually endless. Whatever you envision, you can make – and that’s why we love it!

This month we’re celebrating the wide world of pizza here on our blog, on Facebook and on Pinterest. And we’re kicking off the month with a DIY Pizza Dinner Party!

We love dinner parties, especially dinner parties where the guests get to cook together. You can make a Do-It-Yourself Pizza Party as easy (think ready-made Boboli crusts) or as involved (homemade gluten-free cauliflower crusts) as you wish. Either way, you’re together with friends creating something delicious.

Shop for some toppings, pick up a bottle of wine (or two), grab a few of your favorite Wine Sisters and host a party of your own. We’ve put together some ingredient ideas below, along with wine pairings to help you create a fabulous night in.
