Notes of Sauvignon Blanc – Perfume Giveaway
Love Sauvignon Blanc? We love our Middle Sister Surfer Chick Sauvignon Blanc … but we also LOVE this delightful eau de parfum, from our friends at Kelly & Jones. With hints of yuzu, grapefruit, starfuit, green apple and camellia, it’s almost good enough to drink!
Tell us a perfect occasion or moment for a crisp, light wine like Sauvignon Blanc in the comments below this post. On Wednesday, May 23, we’ll randomly pick one winner from the comments to receive a bottle from Kelly & Jones.
If you haven’t had Middle Sister Surfer Chick Sauvignon Blanc, we suggest you try it if you like fresh and bright white wines with flavors of pineapple and white peach.

I have just hit 6 months pregnant, so I think about the perfect occasion for a glass of wine a lot (since I haven’t had any in so long). I imagine that about a year after the baby is born, I’ll be able to end a long day by sitting outside on the patio, with the light filtering through the trees as a cool breeze blows by, listening to a good cd (maybe Norah Jones) with my baby and husband by my side. THAT sounds like a perfect time for a glass of wine.
In the meantime, I’d be very happy to content myself with smelling Chardonnay or another one of the perfumes in this line!

Sauvignon Blanc is my favorite varietal – it has such a range of expression depending on terroir and the winemakers’ choices. I think a crisp glass – maybe a Sancerre – sitting on the patio with friends is the ideal way to enjoy this wine! And I’d love to be able to bring it with me in perfume form to help get through those long meetings :-)…

The perfect time for a glass of wine is coming up for me in June, Eric and I are celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary and my birthday in sunny Key West Florida! It will be just the two of us, the teenagers will be at home with their grandparents, so I imagine a romantic night watching the sun set on the beach together with a cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc, or a Chardonnay. 🙂

middle of 3 sisters….I am. Older sister and my hero, MaryAnn is finishing up her first round of chemo for advanced breast cancer…now on a two week break before surgery and more poison…for sure we will be lifting a glass during the break…it will smell so sweet when she is done and healed!

I think any warm spring or summer day is a time to have a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. It is one of my favorite white wines. The very grassy ones with nice acidity pair well with fresh goat cheese spread on a thin slice of french bread. To watch a movie with your girlfriends at home and laugh at the characters and just have fun, is another occasion to drink Sauvignon Blanc.

I think just about any time is a good time for a nice crisp wine, but my favorite occasion is just when my boyfriend gets home from work and we are starting to get dinner going. The smells of the kitchen wafting throughout the house and the sounds of onions and garlics sautéing in the pan as he is reading the fresh lettuces from the garden along with the tomatoes right off the vine, nothing nicer than enjoying the fruits of our labor in a nice meal with a crisp juicy citrus wine to compliment it as we sit outside and overlook the garden and listen to the birds and talk about the day.

I recently graduated with my Master’s degree, and as you might expect, the last month-or-so of my program was particularly hectic–not just finishing up my papers and classes, but making sure I had everything arranged for graduation, prepping for visitors, putting in my due at work, and helping my beloved roommate get ready to move out onto her own adventures. She and I never saw each other much during the weeks due to our differing schedules, but at least once a week we’d try to find time to spend time together in the living room, usually over a glass of wine. As the weather got warmer, we liked to nestle on the couches, screen door to our patio open to let in the fresh air, with a candle, a funny show to watch, and a glass of Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc…a perfect break from the stress of school/work. I’ll miss her dearly, but wine nights will always remind me of the wonderful two years we lived together!

I think the perfect occasion for a glass of sauvignon blanc would be after a long sun-filled day at the beach, spending the whole day with family and friends, grilling out and finally sneaking away with my fiance day to take a long walk along the beach, sounds of the waves and sweet ocean breeze, just the two of us while I wear this perfume from Kelly&Jones! It is light and crisp, and oh so refreshing! Perfect! 😉

Summer on the patio is just not complete until we have friends over to grill vegetables and fresh fish and open a bottle (or two) of Sauvignon Blanc. The sounds of jazz in the air and the childrens laughter as they play in the yard while we catch up with each other. Life moves much too fast these days, sometime a glass of wine with close friends is much more precious than gold.
The thought of having the scents of summer captured in a parfum is delightful! I look forward to finding it in the stores soon!

I haven’t been able to purchase myself my favorite perfume since my husband passed away three years ago. He would always buy me my favorite for Christmas and had just given me the last bottle, which I used very sparingly to keep him with me…I think a bottle of Middle Sister Surfer Chick Sauvignon Blanc, and a couple of my girlfriends to share it with, would be the perfect time to find a new fresh scent for myself, and enjoy a “great” glass of wine and friends at the same time!

I love wine. I love perfume. I love the sound of the sea , the melodious murmurings of a garden, and the magic and mystery of all things summer. This wine (which I haven’t yet tried (where to find it?) and the perfume both call to mind another thing I love, beautiful paintings. Such a wine , with it’s absolutely awesome name, and the perfume…. both contain everything that says”SUMMER”. I am a child of summer. Long days at the beach in Florida when I was little and longer summer days and nights growing up in Alaska (the Land of the Midnight Sun!) I was born a block from the English channel so the sound of the surf and the joyful call of birds is embedded deeply. The painting that comes to mind when I think of this wine is this one by John Singer Sargent…’Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose.’…my great grandmother had such a garden and I chased butterflies by day and fireflies by night , always refreshed by lemonade in mason jars. In July I will celebrate my 60th birthday and I can think of no better way to do so than by replacing lemonade and mason jars with a lovely glass of chilled perfection, Middle Sister Surfer Chic Sauvignon Blanc! “”Cheers!”

23 . May . 2012My perfect moment will be during the presentation of my new interactive WINE installation next month. It is a 3D video-art installation about the 5 senses of wine. (see, feel, hear, taste and smell wine) It cost a lot of positive energy to design and build it, but with great result. It is all about experiencing wine in a different way. I love wine, I love art. So what is better than combining the two?!
