Terry Wheatley, President of Vintage Wine Estates and co-founder of Wine Sisterhood, was raised in a ranching family in Red Bluff, CA, and grew up rooted in the western life. After surviving breast cancer, Terry co-founded Tough Enough To Wear Pink, the grassroots fundraising campaign that is now a staple event at rodeos across the country.

What began as a challenge to cowboys to wear pink at the 2004 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo took off and Tough Enough To Wear Pink is now celebrating its 17th anniversary with more than $35 million raised! The goal is to reach $50 million by 2030.

Named after the “Band of the Purple Cowboys,” a legendary group of winemaking cowboys, Purple Cowboy wines have always given back to Tough Enough To Wear Pink. Today, Purple Cowboy wines donate 100% of profits to Tough Enough To Wear Pink. With every purchase, you can help us reach the $50 million fundraising goal and support individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

This month, we’re helping Purple Cowboy wines and Tough Enough To Wear Pink collect “Survivor Stories” to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection. Share your “Survivor Story” about how breast cancer has affected your life and as a thank you, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a fantastic prize package. Your survivor story may be about your personal battle with breast cancer or the story of someone you love, shared with their permission.
