Shop, Sip, Support Art in Schools

Art of Giving with Emily and Sculptor Wines - Wine Sisterhood

Education budgets are tight. In 2015, 91 percent of teachers used some of their own money to pay for supplies for their classrooms, and 38 percent used ONLY their own money (via The NPD Group).

Art supplies are among those classroom supplies teachers are reaching into their own pockets to purchase. There’s a simple way you can help. Emily and Sculptor wines, two brands that already give portions of their proceeds to art in schools, have created a special “Art of Giving” campaign to support these dedicated teachers by underwriting their art supply expenses.

Support "The Art of Giving" this November and December

Emily and Sculptor wines have partnered exclusively at retail to offer these wines at very special holiday pricing and to support the “Art of Giving.” During the month of November and December, Emily and Sculptor wines will DOUBLE the current portion of their profits dedicated to support the arts in local schools. Funds will be donated via The Emily Fund. The goal: reach $5000 donated!

It’s that time of the year where you’re going to need a few extra bottles of wine around for holiday parties, quick gifting and entertaining at home. Emily and Sculptor wines include varietals that fit any occasion and situation. Here’s a little more about the wines:

Emily Wines, a tribute, supporting art programs in schools

Emily Wines

Emily Elizabeth Genzoli was a brilliant young artist and graphic designer who was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 25. Endlessly optimistic in the face of adversity, her positive spirit inspired all who knew her as she accepted and dealt with her diagnosis. The Emily Fund was created as a tribute to her.

After her passing at age 33, her friends in the wine business wanted to find a way to remember her, and her love of children and art. We created Emily Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay and designated a portion of the profits to benefit a cause dear to her heart—that of art in schools.

Emily Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas and flavors of black fruit with a hint a black pepper spice. Rich chocolate and vanilla, a touch of toast from French Oak aging smooth tannins and a lingering finish give this wine classic Cabernet Sauvignon style.

Emily Chardonnay is elegant and refreshing, with a gentle touch, nice for easy, breezy Autumn days, not complicated, fun to drink. Juicy pear, green apple, pineapple, guava juice, and very thirst quenching!

Sculptor Wines

Just as “the sculptor” takes great pride in bringing out the creation from within, so too do Sculptor wines. Sculptor winemakers shape, mold and create artistry from our vineyards to the bottle, with precision and passion.

The Sculptor Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon unfolds with alluring aromas of black cherry, cassis and French Plums bolstered by nuances of baker’s spices, iris, fresh pipe tobacco and subtle toasty oak. The finish is harmonious with mouth-filling fruit.

The Sculptor Carneros Chardonnay possesses intriguing complex aromas of Meyer lemon, ripe pineapple, Blenheim apricots, tarte tartin, white honeysuckle flowers and beeswax. A rich yet perfectly balanced entry leads to a broad mid-palate with energetic drive and delicious fruit, finishing with a fascinating balance of length, opulence and minerality.
