Today is world-wide #CabernetDay. Have a glass and blog, post or tweet about it!

Thursday, September 1 is #CabernetDay on social media sites around the globe. If you are social media socialites (like we are) and Cab lovers (like we are), you won’t want to miss the virtual party.

Cabernet Savignon is one of the world’s most widely-cultivated and appreciated wine varieties (grown in nearly every winegrowing region on earth from Lebanon’s Bequa Valley to British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley). Cabernet is considered by many to be the “king” of grapes.

Here are some ideas on how to get involved on #CabernetDay:

Crack open your fave bottle(s) of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon blend or Cabernet Franc. We are loving Purple Cowboy Trail Boss Cabernet Sauvignon or Purple Cowboy Tenacious Red Cabernet Sauvignon-Syrah blend (both from Paso Robles appellation), Monogamy Cab (North Coast California) and Middle Sister Mischief Maker Cab.

Post tweets, videos, status updates, blogs and check-in using the #CabernetDay and #winesisterhood hash tags. Talk about what you’re drinking and why you like it.

Search #CabernetDay. On Twitter, you can use TweetdeckTwitterSearch,Twitterfall , Hootsuite and others to see what people are saying. Or Google it!

Join the chatter. There may be hundreds, or even thousands of people talking about Cabernet. Find wine sisters and misters you want to connect with and engage. “Like” Facebook posts, re-tweet tweets and share or comment on other people’s postings. Have a glass or three of Cab and celebrate this noble grape!
