It’s tough to top an afternoon of sampling wine at California wine country’s best tasting. Unless you add one secret ingredient… dogs!
Along with our love of wine, many of us here at the Wine Sisterhood are also fanatic dog lovers. We hate to travel too far from our four-legged friends and enjoy every occasion where we can bring our well-mannered dogs along. Since we know many of our Wine Sisters are in the same boat, we pulled together our favorite spots to sip with Fido by our side.

Under the sun in the Valley of the Moon, B.R. Cohn Winery has been making small lot, vineyard designated wines since 1984. Nestled between Sonoma Mountain and the Mayacamas Mountain range, the winery offers an inviting, relaxed environment for discovering new wines.
Enjoy the memorabilia room that showcases founder Bruce Cohn’s 45 years of rock-n-roll managing The Doobie Brothers. Saddle up to the wine bar or sit outside to enjoy the sunshine, our heritage Picholine olive grove and rolling hillside vineyards. On weekends, weather permitting, Listen to the Music and relax on the lawn while being serenaded by creative local musicians and savoring fresh, local oysters paired with the wines. Cosentino Winery is the first stop to Napa Wine Country, located on the historic Saint Helena Highway in Napa, California. In 1989 Cosentino released “The Poet” America’s first designated and licensed Meritage wine.

Just 35 minutes north of San Francisco, Viansa Sonoma is known for award-winning wines, iconic 270 degree views of the Sonoma Valley, and warm hospitality. Idyllically situated at the summit of the Sonoma Valley, Viansa Sonoma embodies the proud history of local winemaking.
The legacy of Viansa Sonoma dates back to 1896 when Samuele Sebastiani arrived from Tuscany and saved enough money, while making cobblestones for San Francisco streets, to purchase vineyard property in 1904. Girard Winery began in 1975 as a dream of a father-son duo nestled at the top of Pritchard Hill with panoramic views of Napa Valley. The two shared a passion for high quality wines, a respect for the Valley’s rich history and a pioneering spirit.
