We’re celebrating this Earth Day by getting to work on a few projects that will upcycle empty wine bottles and put that old cork collection to good use.

Nothing like mosquitos to ruin a nice night on the porch. Are we right? Build this outdoor lighting project from Buildipedia, with bottles filled with citronella, and your buggy worries are over!

No need to search the kitchen for pitchers when you’re entertaining guests. Fill a few empty wine bottles with water and tasty drinks, label them with a permanent marker and your problems are solved! (Remember to cover sugary drinks with plastic wrap or a stopper.) We’re really liking this idea from Young House Love.
