Crafty Holiday Table Settings
Candy canes, cinnamon and the smell of pine filling the air… The holidays are here! Like us, we know you want your holiday dinner table properly dressed for each occasion. To help you set the table just right, we gathered some more of our favorite table decorating and craft ideas.
But before the décor, you’ve got to have the basics in order. Here are a few simple outlines on setting up your table:
For a more informal banquet or brunch…
And for your formal get togethers…
Color
First, let’s pick a color scheme for the table. You could go with the traditional reds and greens, but don’t be afraid go in a different direction, like this gold and black striped dinner table. (via The Glam Pad)
Or the gold and turquoise color combination we used for our Thanksgiving table. Switch out the flowers for something with a wintery-feel and exchange the pumpkins for another fun, shiny accent.
Or add some pizzazz with this bright purple-themed setting. Check out that purple reindeer! (via House to Home)
Table decorations
Now, let’s move on to the table decor!
Upside Down Wine Glasses, Candles and Baubles
Turn some extra wine glasses upside down and fill with ornaments or other bright dodads. Match your color scheme and add a candle to the bottom of the glass (which is now on top) to set the mood! (via Didriks)
Candy Cane Name Cards
We found a quick and easy little accent to guide each holiday party guest to his or her seat. Tie together two candy canes to make simply sweet seating arrangements. (via Real Simple)
